Upcoming & Unfolding

The upcoming expansion will include 10 sealed story packs, with hidden new elements appearing as the game unfolds. Each game will reveal new Actions, Defenders, Invaders, Campaigns, and Events. Surprises await you in every adventure!  

Opinions??

• If the new expansion comes in tuck boxes, it will fit easily into the core box. Plus, it lowers the cost of the packaging and potentially shipping.

• If the new expansion comes in a harder telescopic box, it allows for portability as a possible travel box. Plus it looks pretty sweet in pictures (compared to smaller tuck boxes). An example of this is found in the last update.

To TUCK or NOT to tuck? That is the question.

No official updates on launch date yet, but I just got this deluxe black box concept from our factory. I am thinking that the symbol will have spot uv (shiny). It is sized to fit inside the original Draconis Invasion box. 

Thoughts?

Draconis Invasion (Beta Expansion) at Gen Con

Gen Con returns to Indianapolis from August 17-20, 2017 to celebrate the historic Gen Con 50. We'll be there for all the fun and games, plus playtesting the most recent version of the Expansion pack. Wanna play?

Playtesting in Asia

Yesterday evening I was in Hong Kong catching up with old friends. After dinner I introduced them to Draconis Invasion. They caught on fast. We played with just the expansion cards and went to bed very late. Expansion playtesting is going really well.

Last week I was near Beijing for a church trip and played the expansion with some of my friends there. They had never played Draconis Invasion before. We had some great long nights of slaying dragons and I collected super helpful and positive feedback.

The expansion adds more moments of tension, more culling, and more player interaction than the original core game. Still balancing a few effects, but over 90 percent of the cards are confirmed.
