We did it! Shipping prices are confirmed and our pledge manager will be emailed to you via Backerkit this week. You will be able to enter your shipping info, specify your add-ons, and even upgrade your pledge. Find it in your mailbox within a few days!

Exclusive Terror Dice

Here is a mockup of the exclusive Silver/Black Terror dice we are creating for our Victory Pledge Kickstarter backers (Hero and Dragon Pledges will also receive it). More on this later.

Finalized Game Components

This week, we finalized our component list for the Draconis Invasion Pledge Levels. But first, there is something we need to talk about...

Curling Foil Cards

After much research and consideration, I discovered a major issue concerning FOIL cards from the Victory and Hero Pledges. Foil is infamous for curling over time (due to humidity), which ruins their integration into the deck when shuffling with non-foil cards. Though the Elder Stone cards will still be foil (because they are not shuffled in the deck), I've chosen to revert the other foil cards into standard Linen Finish cards. I hope that my backers will understand. But wait! There is a new set of goodies I've created to make it all up to you!

The New Secret Set... Revealed

The Good News: When I first realized that the curling foil problem would affect the pledge levels, I began to secretly plan a set of new cards that I would send to the Victory and Hero level backers who were originally expecting foil. Today, I am revealing these Secret cards.

And with all that added to the mix, here is the complete component list. I've included sizes for those of you who are planning to get sleeves.

Quick Easter Weekend Update

A brief update for y'all: 

1. We are finalizing shipping quotes from several partners and will have something for you next week with the Pledge Manager.

2. Our factory has sent us a mock-up of the game box that we are waiting for in the mail.

3. The final card count breakdown will be available next week along with the newest electronic copy of the rule book. The French version of the rules should be ready in 2 weeks.

Card Samples Arrived

New card samples arrived in the mail. Some of the color/brightness balances need tweaking, but otherwise they look great. I've been playtesting with the new layouts and I'm super pleased with the overall design changes.

Box Design

I'm working hard on the new box design. Thanks to my backers for the help. Largely due to your feedback and advice, I've been pointed to this box below for inspiration.

I'll work on having separators and leave plenty of space for extra cards and future expansions. 

Calgary Game Cafe

A shout-out to Pips Board Game Cafe [2015 33 Ave SW, Calgary, AB] for being my favorite place to work on game design stuff all week while I've been in Calgary. This is the city's first board game cafe! They have super friendly staff, delicious food (I love the Bacon-Wrapped Dates), and an extensive board game selection. If you are in the Calgary area, come say hello and check them out!

We are waiting for shipment on a revised set of test cards. As I sit patiently beside my mailbox, I am sending you a preview of the Event, Campaign, Invader, Defender, and Action cards. Our team has worked hard to improve the iconography for functionality, use color distinction for clarity, maximize the showcased artwork, and unify the overall design.

Because of Chinese New Year, we need to wait 2 weeks rather than 1 week for the cards to arrive :( Boooooo! While I wait, I am working on the Draconis Invasion package design. My aim is that the game box will be optimal for shipping, storage, organization, potential card sleeves, and retail display. More on the revised game package coming soon.
